| Kevin O'Grady began lampworking glass in 1989 while living in Santa Fe. His prior experience as a silversmith and lapidary artist helped him to quickly develop his lampworking skills. Working glass in a flame is Kevin's favorite artistic medium.
Originally known for his glass bracelets, Kevin is also accomplished in making beads, marbles, paperweights, small platters and vessels. Kevin is also well known for his detailed mastering of borosilicate murrini. He was one of the first to pioneer this technique in his medium of borosilicate glass and has murrini canes in the Corning Museum of Glass. Except for his new Ghost Vortex marbles, all of his marbles incorporate a piece of Kevin's signature cane. Ghost vortex marbles are signed and numbered by Kevin.
